How long does a surgery take? How long do I have to stay in the hospital?

You need to plan to spend about 2-3.5 hours maximum for your surgery on an average. This involves time spent on dilatation of eyes, waiting, surgery time and discharge formalities. Time spent may vary for some patients based on other factors as well, it is recommended that you consult with the doctor/staff and plan accordingly.

Do cataract surgeries require time-off from work? Do I have stay at home?

Micro Incision Phaco surgery does not require hospitalization or rest for normal scenarios. Patients can return to their normal routine the same day of surgery provided they follow the medication as prescribed. However, you must consult your doctor for any specific instructions and adhere to the Do's and Don'ts in the discharge summary, without fail.

Does the surgery hurt? I am scared of surgeries.

Phaco surgery is an advanced laser method, and doesn't involve injections, bandages etc. It is effort-less and pain-less for patients. Visit us for a detailed explanation.​

Can I drive after the surgery?

Depends on the patient and conditions, please seek advice of the doctor/staff and decide accordingly.

Can I wash my face, wear makeup?

Please follow the DOs and DONT's instructions in the discharge summary.

Do you support cash-less?

We don't offer cash-less at this time, you can settle the amount and we will help you with the re-imbursement by providing all necessary invoices. We have processed all major insurance/TPAs successfully.
